Bhubaneswar, May 20: As the academic season progresses, Odisha students are facing growing uncertainty due to the delay in the announcement of CHSE (Council of Higher Secondary Education) results.
While CBSE and ICSE results have already been declared, CHSE students are still in limbo, raising concerns among students and parents alike.
Meanwhile, today (May 20) is the deadline to apply for Plus 3 courses in SAMS (Student Academic Management System) portal.
The state’s higher education department has ensured students that the results for CHSE will be announced within the next two days, as confirmed by the Minister of School & Mass Education, Nityananda Gond.
Odisha currently houses 1,053 colleges, with a total of 2,73,788 seats available for students. As the online admission process concludes today, nearly 1,21,907 students have already applied through the SAMS portal, out of which 1,18,492 have completed the fee payment for their applications.
Despite today being the final date for applications, students have been assured that there is no need for concern or panic. Officials have stated that discussions between the Higher Education Department and relevant authorities are underway, and the application deadline may be extended to accommodate CHSE students.
The Minister of School & Mass Education has stated that the department is working diligently to resolve the result delay and ensure a smooth admission process, aiming to avoid disruptions for students.
The delay has sparked dissatisfaction among students who are eager to plan their next academic steps. Education experts suggest that the state should improve coordination between examination boards and admission processes to prevent future delays.
With the results expected soon, students are advised to stay updated through official channels and proceed with their admission applications accordingly.
