Bhubaneswar, Mar 4: To keep wildlife sanctuaries, national parks, and tiger reserves pollution-free, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest on Monday asked all concerned RCCFs to ban single-use plastics in those protected jungle areas.
The ban will be strictly implemented in all sanctuaries, national parks, and tiger reserves from April 1, directed the PCCF.
The PCCF also stated that enforcement Self-Help Groups and Eco-Development Committees will supply alternative degradable bags for use in those areas by all, including tourists.

✨Besides, single-use plastic materials will also be banned in resorts and other Eco-sensitive areas, said the PCCF.
