Bhubaneswar, Dec 4: Lady blackmailer Archana Nag, the prime accused in the money laundering probe into the high-profile sextortion racket case in Odisha, is set to walk out of jail as the Orissa High Court on Monday granted bail to her in connection with a case registered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

27-year-old Archana Nag was earlier granted bail by the High Court in alleged sextortion cases registered at Nayapalli police station and at Khandagiri police station in Bhubaneswar.
Notably, Odisha Police arrested Archana Nag on October 6 last year on charges of blackmailing based on a complaint given by a lady and Odia film producer Akshay Parija.
Archana Nag has since been in custody for allegedly demanding ransom from Parija and threatening to publicize photographs and video of his intimate moments with a co-accused following non-payment of the ransom amount.

✨The police have booked Archana Nag, her husband Jagabandhu Chand and another person under different sections of the IPC and the IT Act.

Later, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had registered an enforcement case information report (ECIR) for taking up investigation under the provisions of PMLA against Archana Nag, her husband, associates Shradhanjali Behera and Khageswar Patra on the basis of two separate FIRs filed by two police stations in the State Capital.
