Odisha Sets Target Of 1.5 Lakh Govt Jobs In Next Five Years

Bhubaneswar, Jan 1: In a major development, the Mohan Majhi government on Wednesday set a target of 1.5 lakh appointments at the government level in Odisha in the next five years.
The BJP government also decided to recruit 65,000 youths in government posts in two years.
The decision was made at a high level meeting under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister with the Chairpersons of various recruitment commissions of the State government at the Lok Sabha Bhawan today.
CM Majhi emphasized on making the recruitment process flawless, impartial and speedy. He also directed the officials concerned to fill the posts of essential service delivery departments, such as Health, Housing, education and agriculture departments, without leaving them vacant.

✨At present, as many as 1,10,557 post are vacant in various department in the state, sources said.
The Chief Minister directed all the departments to submit proposals to the recruitment commission for filling the vacant posts by March 31, 2025.
