The record was achieved under an initiative led by Odisha Tourism, with 1,174 kilograms of Pakhala prepared and served in a single vessel, according to officials.

Chief Minister Mohan Majhi said the achievement reflects the state’s efforts to promote its culinary heritage globally.
“This accomplishment reflects our commitment to promoting Odisha’s rich culinary heritage on the global stage. It is a proud moment for every Odia,” Majhi said in a post on X.
