Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur in the next 24 hours, it said. The IMD has issued a yellow alert of extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places in Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagar, Khordha, Puri, Jagatsingpur, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Balaswar, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Jajpur.
The Meteorological Department has also predicted a rise in temperature. The day temperature is likely to rise by 4-5 degrees Celsius in the next four to five days. There will also be an increase in nighttime temperatures. After a few days, the summer will have its impact. Temperature continued to be high in western Odisha.
