Bhubaneswar, May 30: Senior BJP leader and Union Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on the last day of poll campaign in Odisha for the final phase of the simultaneous Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections on June 1.

Pradhan addressed five public rallies in Bhadrak, Balasore and Jajpur Parliamentary constituencies of the state today and urged the people to vote in favour of BJP candidate both in Lok Sabha and State Assembly polls in order to make Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive term as well as to make a "double engine"  government in Odisha.

Speaking at Simulia in Balasore Lok Sabha constituency, Pradhan targeted the 25-year-old "inefficient and corrupt" BJD government for "betraying" the Odia people.

"The ruling BJD had betrayed the people of Odisha who showered the blessing to the party for 25 years. Time has come to put a full stop on the 25-year-rule of the BJD this time," he said.

Addressing the BJP's 'Vijay Sankalp Samabesh' at Jajpur, Pradhan recalled the glorious past of Odisha and raised the issue of Odia Asmita (Odia pride). He also slammed the outsourced Gumasta (VK Pandian) and his "Slave" (Pranab Prakash Das, also known as Bobby Das). "The game of BJD rule will be over in Jajpur this time," he asserted.

During his speech at Bari in Jajpur Parliamentary constituency, Pradhan reiterated BJP's poll promises.
