Special security arrangements have also been made for the immersion processions scheduled in Jajpur Town and Jajpur Road on November 16, 17, and 18.

Police officials said bike patrols, four-wheeler patrols, and zero-hour patrolling will be intensified in sensitive areas. Particular attention will be paid to monitoring the movement of anti-social elements to prevent any untoward incidents during the festivities.

In Puri, 26 platoons of force have been deployed to ensure the safety of around 2,300 Habishyalis observing the holy Kartik month rituals.

Six platoons have been stationed at accommodation centres, while around 20 platoons are posted in and around the Jagannath Temple precincts.

Security deployment will be further strengthened during Panchuka and Kartik Purnima, with 65 platoons scheduled to be deployed.

Similarly, 16 platoons will be assigned for the Bada Osha celebrations at Dhabaleswar in Kataka. Additional security measures have also been planned for Bali Jatra and other major festivals across the region.

Apart from ground deployment, Odisha Police has intensified cyber surveillance. A 24-hour monitoring system is in place to track misinformation, rumours, and provocative social media content.

Officials have warned that strict legal action will be taken against individuals found spreading false information.
