Odisha Police Launches Special Drive Against Illegal Lifting And Transportation Of Minor Minerals

Bhubaneswar, Mar 9: The Odisha Police launched a special drive against illegal lifting and transportation of minor minerals, such as sand, moram, lateral soil etc.
The drive, directed by the DGP YB Khurania, turned out to be a massive success as Odisha Police, during the enforcement, have detected as many as 81 cases across the state.
In addition, as many as 117 vehicles have been seized while transporting sand and moram illegally. The Odisha Police have also arrested 88 accused persons.
“The enforcement activity is still underway and all the districts have been instructed to take feed backs from local residents to make this drive a success,” says a press release, issued by the Odisha Police.
