According to the regional meteorological department, two low-pressure troughs are currently active all over the state, leading to widespread rainfall. A warning has been issued for nine districts, including Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Rayagada, and Malkangiri. Some areas within these districts have been placed under orange alert, with expectations of heavy to very heavy rainfall and strong winds reaching speeds of 50-60 km/h.
Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in ten other districts, Sundargarh, Angul, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal, prompting a yellow warning.
