Bhubaneswar, Dec 26: Odisha is unlikely to get relief from rain and chilly weather in the next couple of days given the inclement weather predicted by the India Meteorological Department.
Rain continues to disrupt normal life in the State. According to the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, light to moderate rainfall will occur over many places in the State. One or two places may witness heavy rain today.
Rainfall has been occurring for the last two days by the impact of a low-pressure area formed in the west-central Bay of Bengal. The weather will mostly be cloudy throughout the state on December 26 and 27 and there is a possibility of rain again on the day after, i.e. December 28.

✨Due to the untimely rain, farmers are worried. The Sundargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, and Deogarh districts may witness hailstone falling along with rain. Heavy rainfall is also likely in the districts of Jajpu and Keonjhar. A year's hard work of farmers is floating in the rainwater now.
Paddy crops have been damaged on thousands of acres of land.
