Odisha: Matric Results Out, 94.93% Pass; Girls Outperform Boys

Cuttack, May 2: The results of the much-awaited High School Certificate examination, also known as Matric exam, of Odisha were published today.
Results, published by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha showed that 94.93 per cent of students passed the test and, as in earlier years, girls outperformed boys.
School and Mass Education Minister Nityanand Gond released the results at the BSE office in Cuttack.
A total of 5,10,779 students filled up forms and, of them, 5,02,417 appeared for the tests held at various examination centres across the State. As many as 4,84,863 students, constituting 49.93%, passed the examination.

✨Results showed that 2,40,251 boys and 2,44,612 girls, accounting for 94% and 96%, passed the Class X annual test. In A1 (Above 90%), 1,812 students passed, and in A2 (Between 80%-90%), 12,200 students cleared the test. The percentage of students who passed in other categories include 28,831 in B1 (70%-80%), 84,971 in B2 (60%-70%) and 1,33,822 in C category.
All schools have achieved results, and, thus, there is no 'zero' result school this year. As many as 3,273 schools have recorded 100 percent results.
In Madyama, 3,343 students filled up forms, while 2917 students appeared for the test. Of them, 2,868 students, accounting for 98.32%, cleared the test.
In the Odisha State Open School Certificate Examination, 5,606 students filled up forms, and, of them, 5,591 appeared for the test. Of those students who appeared for the test, 4,181 cleared the test.
