Cuttack, Dec 12: The High School Certificate (HSC) examinations of Odisha will be held from February 20 to March 4, 2024, informed the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) authorities here today. 

As many as 5,51,611 students have enrolled for the HSC tests, also known as the Matric examination, informed the BSE president Jyoti Prakash Das. 

Das said the Matric examination will be held at a total of 2,991 centers across the State. 

According to the schedule, MIL (Odia) examination will be held on the first day i.e.February 20, English on February 23, Mathematics on February 26, Hindi/Sanskrit on February 28, Science on March 2, and Social Science on March 24. 

The examinations will be held under tight security, said Das. 

CCTVs will be installed at the examination centers. 

Students having Vocational Trade will attend practical examinations from January 15 to 31 under the guidance of OSEPA. The Headmasters have been asked to send the marks online. 

Evaluation of Matric answer sheets will begin on March 15, he said. 

Regarding pattern, the BSE President said the pattern adopted in the half-yearly exam will be adopted in the Matric test.
To allow students to make data and photo corrections, Headmasters have been advised to submit students' original documents to the BSE between December 14 and 21.

The Vice-President also informed that the annual test of the Class IX exam will be held from March 6 to 12. 

This time, schools will not be given hard copies of question papers. They will be given soft copies and they can download question papers from the website two hours before the examination, said the Vice-President.
