Odisha: Matric Exam Begins From Today

Bhubaneswar, Feb 20: The High School Certificate (HSC) examinations of Odisha started today and will continue till March 4, 2024.
Students were seen standing in queue to enter the examination hall from early in the morning.
According to the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, as many as, 5,60,000 students will appear for the matric examination in the 3,047 centers in the state.
For the first time, AI-based CCTV cameras have been installed in highly sensitive centers.
The board has advised the students to reach the examination center 1.5 hours prior to the examination timing.

✨While the exams will begin at 9 am, the students will enter the examination hall at 7.30 am. At 8.15 am, the gate of the examination center will be closed.
OMR sheets will be given at 8.30 pm and question papers will be provided at 9 pm, informed the board authorities.
However, to improve and reform the conduct of the examination, the examination center will be under CCTV surveillance.
The command control room will be under the watch of 20 experts and the board authorities.
Dr. Nihar Ranjan Mohanty, vice-president of the board, said that if malpractice or some untoward situation arises in any examination center, then the command will come through this AI camera.
