Bhubaneswar, Nov 27: Odisha is gearing up to host the fourth edition of the prestigious Odisha Masters 2025 – BWF Tour Super 100 Tournament from December 9 to 14 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack. The international badminton event will be jointly organized by the Badminton World Federation (BWF), Badminton Association of India (BAI), Odisha State Badminton Association, and the Department of Sports & Youth Services.
Global Participation
Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj announced at a press conference in Kalinga Stadium that this year’s tournament will witness participation from 22 countries including India, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, USA, Australia, England, Spain, Egypt, and Russia. More than 400 athletes are expected to compete across five categories: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Top-ranked international shuttlers are also expected to feature in the championship.
Sub-Junior Nationals in Bhubaneswar
Ahead of the Odisha Masters, the 37th Sub-Junior National Badminton Championship will be held at Kalinga Stadium from December 1 to 6. The event will feature around 750 players from across India in the Under-15 and Under-17 categories, including 25 athletes from Odisha.

Odisha’s Sporting Stature
Highlighting Odisha’s growing reputation in global sports, the Minister noted that the state has successfully hosted major events such as the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze and the Asian Table Tennis Championship. Hosting the Odisha Masters, he said, will further strengthen Odisha’s commitment to sports development and enhance its international profile.
Odisha State Badminton Association President Rajesh Prabhakar Patil expressed pride in hosting the tournament, stating it would inspire budding talents across the state. Sports & Youth Services Commissioner-cum-Secretary Shri Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav added that Odisha has carved out a distinct identity in the global sports arena through consistent hosting of international competitions.
Mascot and Logo Unveiled
The official logo of the Odisha Masters 2025 was unveiled during the press conference. Tournament mascot “Olly” also made a lively appearance, energizing sports enthusiasts and adding excitement to the upcoming championship.
