Odisha: Man Gets 7-Year Jail Term For Duping Hajj Aspirants

Balasore, Mar 28: A court in Balasore awarded seven years of rigorous imprisonment to a convict for duping Hajj pilgrims of a huge amount of money on the false promise of taking them on the Hajj Yatra.
The Special OPID and EOW Court, Balasore, has awarded the sentence to Nabel Abudl Mubin Seikh. Besides a jail term, the Court also imposed a fine of Rs 2.75 lakh on the convict failing payment of which he would undergo another jail term of 15 months.
Mubin Seikh, the main accused, was arrested in Mumbai on September 27, 2024. The court convicted Mubin Seikh after listening to 10 witnesses and examining 30 documents.

✨Nabel Abudl Mubin Seikh ran a transport agency named 'Adam Tour and Travels' in Bhadrak. He collected money from Muslim people by promising to take them on the Hajj Yarra. He allegedly duped people of Rs 1.20 crore.
The EOW filed a case against him on September 12, 2024, and started an investigation.
