Jagatsinghpur, Apr 5: Residents of Kandarpur village in Jagatsinghpur district took to streets and demanded immediate action from the administration to address the rising number of accidents in the area.

The protest followed a tragic accident involving a senior citizen who lost their life on the National Highway connecting Kandarpur and Machhagaon.

The villagers put forth several demands, including the installation of speed breakers, leveling the uneven T-road junction, and repairing the damaged roads to prevent further mishaps.

Over hundred of residents participated in the demonstration, expressing their frustration and concern over the lack of timely action. The protest caused significant disruption, drawing the attention of local authorities and the district administration.

However, the situation was resolved after the intervention of district officials. The senior officials visited the site and assured the protesters that their demands would be addressed promptly. The peaceful resolution marked the end of the blockade, leaving residents hopeful for a safer future.
