Bhubaneswar, Nov 5: Odisha is likely to experience a gradual fall in night temperatures over the next few days, with minimum temperatures expected to dip by 2-4 degrees Celsius between November 6 and 8, the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar forecast on Thursday.

The minimum temperature is likely to remain largely unchanged over the next 24 hours before declining over the subsequent two days. Thereafter, night temperatures are expected to remain stable, the weather office said.

The forecast comes as the remnant low-pressure area associated with severe cyclonic storm 'Murasu' has weakened. The system over east Telangana and adjoining coastal Andhra Pradesh became less marked at 8:30 am on November 5. However, an associated cyclonic circulation continues to persist over the region between 3.1 km and 4.5 km above mean sea level.
