Bhubaneswar, May 20: Odisha is likely to get relief from heatwave and humidity as two low-pressure systems are predicted to occur in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea in the last week of May.
The India Meteorological Department predicted that a cyclonic formation would occur in the Arabian Sea on May 21 and the system would gradually turn into a low-pressure system by the next day, i.e., May 22. The low-pressure system will deepen further and move towards the north.

✨A cyclonic formation may occur in the east-central Bay of Bengal on May 27 and will then deepen to take the shape of a low-pressure system. The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, has also predicted that Kalabaishakhi (Nor'wester) will occur at different places in the State in the next five to seven days.
The weather office has issued an orange warning to the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Gajapati, and Rayagada, predicting nor'westers along with light to moderate rainfall, in the next 24 hours.
