Odisha Launches Super Premium Bus Service From Puri To Five Major Pilgrimage Sites

Puri, June 4: In a significant move, the Odisha government on Wednesday launched ‘Shree Jagannath Express’, an exclusive super premium bus service, connecting Puri with five religious and tourism destinations.
The initiative, aimed at enhancing travel convenience for pilgrims and tourists, offers a 50% fare discount for women passengers.
Prioritising Puri as a central hub, the government has introduced five luxury buses to operate on these routes.
As of now, three buses have already commenced service, carrying passengers to destinations including Tirupati, Ayodhya, Ujjain, Hyderabad, and Bhilai.
To complement the new bus services, the government also inaugurated the Intelligent Enforcement Management System (IEMS), ensuring smooth operations and better regulatory oversight. The launch was conducted virtually by Chief Minister Mohon Charan Majhi from the Malatipatpur Bus Stand.
According to the outlined schedule, weekly services will be available for Tirupati, Ayodhya, and Ujjain, while daily services will run for Hyderabad and Bhilai.
Officials assure that the luxury travel experience will bring comfort, safety, and affordability for devotees embarking on spiritual journeys across India.
