Bhubaneswar, Jul 10: In a decisive move to tackle the recent fuel supply challenges across Odisha, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra announced on Thursday that a resolution to the oil crisis is imminent.

 

The state government is scheduled to hold a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan with major oil companies including HP and Indian Oil to address the situation and ensure smooth distribution.

 

Minister Patra emphasised that any attempt at black marketing will be met with strict action. Officials have been instructed to maintain vigilant oversight across fuel distribution channels. He reassured citizens that there is no need for panic buying, stating that petrol and diesel supplies are stabilizing.

Refuting opposition claims about mismanagement, the minister maintained that the allegations are baseless. He also acknowledged the ongoing protests by the Drivers’ Federation and affirmed that talks are in progress with departmental representatives to address their grievances swiftly.
