Bargarh, Feb 16: Good news for residents of Bargarh and art lovers of Odisha. The state government has sanctioned Rs 12,79,31,900 for the construction of a permanent palace for the Bargarh Dhanu Jatra Mahotsav, the largest open-air theatre.
The information was shared by Bargarh MLA Ashwini Kumar Sarangi on his Facebook page. For this, MLA Sarangi expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida. He said the State government's support would help further enrich the world famous Dhanu Yatra.
The Rajmahal (palace) is likely to be constructed near Nishamani High School in Bargarh, if the present proposal is finalised.
