Bhubaneswar, May 24: The Odisha government has announced a major reshuffle at the IPS and OPS levels, transferring as many as 18 senior officers, including Superintendents of Police (SPs) from eight districts.

The Home Department issued an official notification confirming the changes, which affect Nabarangpur, Khordha, Rayagada, Bargarh, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Boudh, and Kandhamal districts.

According to the notification, Nabarangpur SP (DIGP grade) Sandeep Sampat Madkar has been transferred to Cuttack CID-CB as DIG. Cuttack CID-CB SP Smit Parashottamdas Parmar will now serve as Nayagarh SP, while Khordha SP Vivekanand Sharma has been posted as Cuttack CID-CB SP.

Rayagada SP Swathi S. Kumar has been appointed Bhubaneswar STF SP, and Bargarh SP Prahlad Sahay Meena will take charge as Gajapati SP.

Further, Nayagarh SP S. Sushree has been moved to Vigilance SP, Special Branch SP Raj Prasad will serve as Rayagada SP, and Ganjam SP Suvendu Kumar Patra has been transferred to Khordha.

Boudh SP Rahul Goyal will now serve as Special Branch SP, while Kandhamal SP Harisha BC has been posted as Ganjam SP. Additional SP of Bhadrak, Kashyap Parth Jagadish, has been promoted and appointed as Nabarangpur SP, and Rayagada Additional SP Ramendra Prasad has been promoted as Kandhamal SP.

In another key change, ADC to the Governor, Kuldeep Meena, has been appointed as Boudh SP, while Cuttack UPD ACP Ananya Awasthi will now serve as the Governor’s ADC.

Among OPS officers, Cuttack CID-CB SP Krishna Prasad Pattnaik has been transferred as Signals SP, Bhubaneswar STF SP Rabindra Nath Satapathy will serve as Bargarh SP, Special Branch SP Krishna Prasad Das has been posted as Rourkela SRP, and Bhubaneswar-Cuttack UPD DCP Kishore Chandra Mund has been appointed as Debagarh SP.

The notification was issued by Additional Secretary Trilochan Majhi on behalf of the Governor. Copies of the order have been sent to the Union Home Ministry, senior police officials, district collectors, and SPs for necessary action.
