Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: The Odisha government has announced an increase in the salary of Junior teachers working under the 'Samagra Siksha' programme.
The School and Mass Education Department issued a notificatin in this regard on Wednesday.
According to the notification, the salary of teachers (schematic) has been increased from Rs 11,000 to Rs 16,000.

The teachers of primary and upper primary schools will now get a salary of Rs 16,000 per month. The increased salary will be implemented from today.
As many as 13,740 teachers will benefit, according to the notification.
