Odisha Govt Extends Deadline For e-KYC Updation Of Ration Card Holders

Bhubaneswar, Jan 30: In a good news for Ration Card holders, the Odisha Government has extended the deadline for the verification and updation of e-KYC. The deadline has been extended to February 15.
Krushna Chandra Patra, Minister of Food Suppliers, Consumer Welfare, Science & Technology, has informed about the development. Earlier, the government had set January 31 as the last date for e-KYC updation.
Patra has said that approximately 39 lakh beneficiaries in the state have not completed the verification and updation of e-KYC. He said that some beneficiaries had demanded for an extension of deadline.
The Food Suppliers Minister said that 2,96,97,332 people have updated their e-KYC till January 29. Out of these, 2,95,64,954 people are living in Odisha, while 1,32,378 people are living outside the state, who have updated their e-KYC.
Till January 29, a total of 38,03,238 people have not updated their e-KYC. The Minister said that many beneficiaries are not updating the e-KYC, either due to their ineligibility or not alive.
