Bhubaneswar, Aug 21: The Odisha Government on Thursday effected a major reshuffle in the police cadre, transferring and posting 18 senior IPS and 12 OPS officers across key positions in the state.
The reshuffle, announced by the Home Department, includes significant changes at both the range and district levels.
Dr. Santosh Bala (IPS, 1995) has been appointed as Director, State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL), while S. Praveen Kumar (IPS, 2002) takes over as IG of Police, Provisioning.

✨Gajbhiye Satish Kumar Iswardas (IPS, 2002) has been posted as IG of Police, Special Armed Police, and Sanjay Kumar Kaushal (IPS, 2003) now heads the Economic Offences Wing (EOW).

Among district-level changes, Prateek Singh (IPS, 2014) has been transferred to SP, Puri, and Vivekanand Sharma (IPS, 2014) to SP, Khordha. Parmar Smit Parshottambdas (IPS, 2013) will now serve as SP, Crime Branch, while Pratyush Diwaker (IPS, 2015) moves to SP, Balasore. Ms. Amritpal Kaur (IPS, 2021) has been posted as SP, Sundargarh, and Ankit Kumar Verma (IPS, 2021) as SP, Jagatsinghpur.
The reshuffle also includes the appointment of Bhawani Shankar Udgata (OPS) as SP, Railway, Cuttack, and Gundala Reddy Raghavendra (IPS, 2019) as SP, Jharsuguda.
