Bhubaneswar, Apr 16: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida Wednesday assured prompt support for the two-year-old kid, who was rescued from Balasore district after being abducted from near Ram Mandir in Bhubaneswar.
The Deputy CM while interacting with the presser assured that the child will receive immediate care and assistance under Mission Vatsalya, a centrally sponsored scheme designed to ensure the welfare and development of children in need.
She also praised the police and other authorities for their prompt response and reiterated the government's commitment to safeguarding vulnerable families and children.
Notably, the two-year-old kid was rescued from Balasore district and reunited with her visually impaired mother after he was abducted near Ram Mandir in Bhubaneswar on April 12.

Mission Vatsalya is a centrally sponsored scheme in India aimed at supporting children in need of care and protection and children in conflict with the law. It serves as a roadmap to achieve child protection and development goals, emphasizing child rights and strengthening the juvenile justice system. The scheme focuses on ensuring the best interests of children while designing and delivering related programs.
The scheme provides monthly financial assistance of Rs 4,000 to eligible children up to the age of 18.
