Bhubaneswar, Dec 15: The Odisha government has approved the establishment of a Global Visa Application Centre in Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Monday.
Officials said the Global Visa Application Centre will be
set up at the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Bus Terminal building in Baramunda here,
where the State government will provide around 3,000 square feet of space for
operations. They added that the facility will cater to visa-related services
for residents of Odisha, eliminating the need to travel to cities such as
Kolkata, Delhi, or Hyderabad.

The decision comes in response to a long-standing demand
from citizens for a visa application facility within the state capital. The
Chief Minister emphasized that the move would make international travel

documentation, reduce travel costs, and save time for applicants. It also
