Jajpur, Feb 9: Odisha Government has announced a budget of Rs 1,000 crore Saturday for various development projects in Jajpur district.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi made the announcement on the occasion of Jajati – 2025 & Pallishree Mela – a district mahotsav in Jajpur.
Notably, CM Majhi inaugurated the Jajati – 2025 mahotsav Saturday and he took the opportunity to announce the budget for the district.
As many as 83 projects worth Rs 829.76 crore have been inaugurated and foundation stone of 77 projects worth Rs 170 crore has been laid in Jajpur, Saturday.
Allocations At A Glance
Development Projects
Rs 50 crore for the development of Maa Biraja Temple
Rs 10 crore for the expansion of Dharmasala near the temple
Rs 21 crore for the upgradation of Biraja Agneshwara Market
Rs 30 crore for a new Bus Terminal
Rs 78 crore for development projects including the Byasa Sarovar and a Town Hall, in Byasanagar
Medical College Development Works:
The newly constructed Jajati Keshari Medical College & Hospital has been renamed as Maharaja Jajati Keshari Medical College & Hospital.
Various projects worth more than Rs 16 crore have been inaugurated in the premises of Maharaja Jajati Keshari Medical College & Hospital, built at a total cost of Rs 491.25 crore.
Along with this, the foundation stone of a nursing college and 51 other development projects has also been laid at a cost of about Rs 12 crore.
“Through this project, the health services of the district will be improved further and better health services will be ensured for the people,” wrote CM Majhi in a post on his official ‘X’ account.
