Odisha Governor Kambhampati, CM Majhi Extend Greetings On Auspicious Occasion Of Rath Yatra Today

Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi have extended Rath Yatra wishes to all on the auspicious occasion of the Annual Rath Yatra today.


Chaturdhamurti —Lord Jagannath, His siblings Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, and Chakraraj Sudarshan — will move to Shree Gundicha Temple, today.


Pahandi is scheduled to begin at 9.30 am and Rath pulling to begin at 4 pm today.

Bhubaneswar, June 27: Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi have extended Rath Yatra wishes to all on the auspicious occasion of the Annual Rath Yatra of Chaturdhamurti —Lord Jagannath, His siblings Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, and Chakraraj Sudarshan —today.


"Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati has extended warm greetings to all on the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra. He prayed for the divine blessings of the Holy Trinity to guide us towards peace, prosperity, and inspire us to build a society rooted in unity in diversity," the Information and Public Relations Department tweeted, quoting the Governor.


Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, in a video message, greeted all to the Shreekhetra on this occasion.


"Rath Yatra has come after a year. We have a good opportunity to have Darshan of Lord Jagannath atop the Rath. On this occasion, I welcome you all to the Shreekhetra Puri. Come and join the Rath Yatra, abiding by the rules and with all devotion, and make our lives fulfilled," the Chief Minister said Odia.

Notably, the nine-day sojourn of Lord Jagannath and His siblings- Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra- and His Ayudha Sudarshan to Shree Gundicha Temple will take place today. They will board three magnificent Raths- Nandighosh, Taladhwaj, and Darpadalan- to move to the Shree Gundicha Temple, their birthplace. Lakhs of devotees will pull the Raths and have the glimpse of the deities atop Raths.
