Bhubaneswar, Aug 11: In response to the recent flood devastation across northern Odisha, the state government has released ₹6.66 crore in relief funds to Keonjhar, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, and Bhadrak districts.
Triggered by a low-pressure system, the floods have affected over 11,000 people, prompting swift administrative action.
District Collectors have submitted detailed damage reports, including verification of affected individuals’ bank accounts to ensure direct benefit transfers. Relief expenditures have already begun, covering housing damage, clothing, utensils, and support for fisherfolk and rescue operations.
