Odisha Government Effects Major IAS Reshuffle

Bhubaneswar, July 22: The Odisha government on Tuesday effected a major reshuffle of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across key departments and districts.
Hemant Sharma has been given the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Information & Public Relations, while continuing his position as ACS of the Industries Department and Chairman of IPICOL.
Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra has been appointed Principal Secretary of the Finance Department, continuing as Chairman of IDCO.
Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma will now head the Excise Department as Principal Secretary and continues as CMD of OPTCL.
Roopa Roshan Sahoo has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Governor of Odisha.
Several officers have been entrusted with dual responsibilities.

✨Sachin R. Jadhav will serve as Secretary of Sports & Youth Services while continuing as RDC (Northern Division), Sambalpur, and CEO of WODC.
Bhupendra Singh Poonia will take charge of Skill Development & Technical Education and remains MD of IPICOL.
The reshuffle also includes district-level changes.
Chanchal Rana has been transferred from Collector of Puri to Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.
Dr. Maheswar Swain
(SCS-2014) has been appointed as Collector, while Raghuram R. Iyer (SCS-2013)
will take over as Collector & DM of Kendrapara.
