Jeypore, Aug 9: In a major step toward women’s financial empowerment, the Odisha government has released the third installment of the ‘Subhadra’ scheme. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi disbursed the funds during a state-level event held in Jeypore, Koraput district.

More than one crore beneficiaries received ₹5,000 each directly into their bank accounts. This marks the third phase of the scheme, following two earlier installments that had already credited ₹10,000 to each eligible woman.

The ‘Subhadra’ scheme is designed to provide direct financial support to women across the state. With the latest disbursement, the total assistance provided to each beneficiary now stands at ₹15,000.

The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to uplifting women through targeted welfare programs. The event in Jeypore drew widespread public attention and was hailed as a significant milestone in the scheme’s implementation.
