Bhubaneswar, Oct 4: The state of Odisha has been allocated ₹24 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) for the financial year 2025–26.

Odisha, home to several PVTG populations, stands to benefit significantly from this central assistance. The ₹24 crore grant will be used to implement integrated development programs that address the basic needs of tribal families living in remote and underserved regions.
The scheme is designed to bridge gaps in infrastructure and services, while preserving the cultural identity of tribal groups. The funds will be directed toward building homes, improving sanitation, setting up health centres, and enhancing access to schools and nutritional support.
The PM-JANMAN scheme is part of the government’s broader
commitment to inclusive development and tribal empowerment. By focusing on the
most marginalized communities, the initiative aims to ensure that no citizen is
left behind in the journey of progress.
