Puri, May 12: Police Director General (DG) YB Khurania on Monday reviewed the security arrangements at the Jagannath temple in Puri ahead of the annual Rath Yatra.

The inspection covered both inner and outer security measures, ensuring comprehensive safety protocols for devotees and visitors.

As part of the preparations, the DG Police will assess the security and logistical arrangements in and around the Shreekhetra region to guarantee a smooth and secure experience during the festival.

Additionally, a special police route plan is being developed for the Rath Yatra to manage crowd control efficiently.

Authorities are also working on an independent traffic management plan to facilitate seamless movement during the event, preventing congestion and ensuring the safety of devotees.

With the Rath Yatra fast approaching, security personnel remain on high alert to uphold safety protocols and maintain order throughout the festival.
