Bhubaneswar, Aug 7: Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida is set to embark on a five-day tour across five districts — Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Balangir, and Sonepur — starting August 8.
The visit aims to review and accelerate development initiatives, particularly those related to women and child welfare, Mission Shakti, and tourism.
A key highlight of the tour will be her visit to Kotia in Koraput district, where she will assess ongoing developmental projects and review the implementation of the Subhadra Yojana.
On August 9, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan, she will attend the third installment distribution ceremony of the Subhadra scheme in Koraput, reinforcing the government’s commitment to women’s financial empowerment.

During her tour, the Deputy CM will hold review meetings with district officials to evaluate the progress of schemes under the Women & Child Development Department, Mission Shakti, and the Tourism Department.
