Bhubaneswar, June 16: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi formally launched the official website of the Sixth State Finance Commission, providing a platform for consultation and recommendations aimed at empowering local governance institutions.
The unveiling took place during a meeting in which the commission members presented their crucial insights on enhancing financial allocations to local bodies.
The newly launched website, https://sfc.odisha.gov.in, has been designed to gather suggestions from elected representatives, village councils, district administrations, municipal corporations, universities, research organizations, social institutions, and the general public. It also hosts reports from previous and current state finance commissions.

✨Dr. Arun Kumar Panda, Chairman of the Sixth State Finance Commission, along with senior government officials, participated in the event. The commission, constituted under Articles 243-I and 243-Y of the Indian Constitution, will advise on resource distribution to local governance bodies for the next five years starting April 1, 2026.
The initiative aims to enhance transparency and encourage greater public involvement in financial planning for grassroots governance.
