Viksit Odisha / Odisha CM To Embark On 4-Day Visit To UAE From Sept 8 To Attract FDI

Bhubaneswar, Sept 1: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will embark on a four-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 8 to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) into the state, a Minister said on Tuesday.

Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain said CM Majhi will lead a high-level delegation to the West Asian nation, where he is scheduled to participate in one-to-one meetings with potential investors, roadshows, and roundtable discussions. The visit is aimed at showcasing Odisha’s industrial strengths and positioning the state as a competitive destination for global capital.

During the tour, the Chief Minister will highlight Odisha’s investor-friendly policies, infrastructure, and skilled workforce. The delegation is expected to emphasize opportunities in sectors such as metals, petrochemicals, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and port-led industries. Officials said the visit is part of Odisha’s broader strategy to expand its global outreach and strengthen industrial partnerships.
