Bhubaneswar, Aug 11: Anjali Behera, a Class 8 student from Kakatpur in Puri district, moved hearts during the Chief Minister’s public grievance hearing.
Having lost her father to kidney disease and with her mother Manasi Behera suffering from a heart condition, Anjali lives with her grandmother in dire financial conditions. With no earning member in the family, she came forward to seek help from the Chief Minister.
Her emotional appeal prompted an immediate response from CM Mohan Charan Majhi, who assured her of widow pension for her mother and a student scholarship to support Anjali’s education.
