Bhubaneswar, Jan 9: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday termed Pravasi Bharatiyas as ambassadors of Odisha.

The Chief Minister stated this while welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pravasi Bharatiyas at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention at Janat Maidan in Bhubaneswar. PM Modi will soon inaugurate the event.

The Chief Minister thanked the Prime Minister for giving focus to Odisha in his "Purvodya Mission" which envisions the development of the eastern region of the country.

"The Prime Minister has envisioned Viksit Bhara during the Amrit Kala. I am very thankful to the Prime Minister as he has focussed on Odisha in his Purvodaya Mission," said the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister boasted saying Odisha's culture, heritage and Odissi dance are recognized worldwide.
