Bhubaneswar, Feb 23: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh today.

According to the information, CM Majhi and his family members took holy dips after offering a puja to the Ganga mother. He is scheduled to have the Darshan of Ram Lala in the Ayodhya Temple tomorrow.

The Chief Minister is on a three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh.

BJP MP Sambit Patra, Advocate General Pitambar Acharya and eminent singer Kailash Kher also took holy dips in the Sangam.

After taking a holy dip, the Chief Minister told the media that he was lucky to visit Prayagraj and take a holy dip in the Sangam. He said he prayed for the welfare of the people of Odisha and the country as well.

Majhi took to the X and wrote, "Took a sacred dip during Mahakumbh at Prayagraj — a confluence of faith, tradition, and divinity. Blessed to be a part of this extraordinary privilege and a deeply spiritual experience. On behalf of the people of Odisha, I extend my heartfelt reverence to this sacred occasion and pray for the well-being, peace, and prosperity of all."

As crores of devotees from across the nation and beyond gather here with immense faith, the atmosphere becomes a reflection of India’s rich cultural heritage and spiritual ethos. The spirit of devotion, discipline, and harmony seen during this grand congregation is truly inspiring, he noted.

He thanked the Prime Minister on the occasion.
