Bolangir, Jun 17: Bolangir is gearing up for Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s much-anticipated visit today. The CM is scheduled to land at Tusura airstrip at 9:45 AM, kicking off his day-long engagement in the district.

His itinerary includes attending the Krishi Samavesh (Agriculture Conference) at Patharchepa, where he will address the gathering of farmers and agricultural stakeholders.

The event, expected to host around 20,000 farmers, will feature stalls from various departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, and Water Resources.

Majhi will spend time at the conference from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, engaging with farmers and discussing key agricultural initiatives.

Senior officials, including the Deputy Chief Minister, Health Minister, and all local MLAs, are also expected to be present.

Security arrangements have been tightened in preparation for the visit, with 18 platoons of police force and 180 officers deployed to ensure safety. After concluding his engagements, the Chief Minister will depart for Bhubaneswar from Tusura airstrip at 1:40 PM, wrapping up his Bolangir visit.

The people of Bolangir are reportedly enthusiastic about the CM’s visit, highlighting the significance of the Krishi Samavesh for farmers in the region.
