Sambalpur, Apr 21: In a groundbreaking move to address public concerns, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is spearheading an "Abhijog Sunani" in Sambalpur on Monday.

This initiative aims to provide a platform for citizens to voice their grievances and demands directly to the government. The event, held at the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation, is set to run from 8 AM to 1 PM, with robust arrangements for public participation. A dedicated grievance cell has been established at the venue, ensuring streamlined complaint registration and resolution.

Notably, this is the first time ‘Abhijog Sunani’ is being hosted outside Bhubaneswar, giving hopes to people of Odisha that it might open the door for their town or a nearby place to host the event in coming days.

Over 1,000 individuals have registered online to participate, while more than 500 offline complaints are expected to be submitted. The Chief Minister, accompanied by 10 ministers, several secretaries, and senior officials from the CMO, will personally oversee the proceedings.

Key issues such as water supply, summer heat relief, and security measures are being prioritised. The government has made extensive arrangements to ensure the smooth functioning of the event, including provisions for drinking water and other essential services.

This initiative underscores the government's commitment to transparency and citizen engagement, setting a precedent for responsive governance in Odisha.
