Odisha CM Majhi Announces 2 Per Cent DA Hike For Govt Employees

Bhubaneswar, Apr 11: The Odisha government Friday announced a 2 percent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for the state government employees. With this revision, the DA has increased from the existing 53 per cent to 55 per cent.
Alongside this, a 2 per cent hike in the Dearness Relief (commonly referred to as TI or ‘Temporary Increase’) has also been announced for pensioners.
This hike is set to benefit approximately 8.5 lakh individuals, including both active government employees and retired pensioners across Odisha.
The revised DA will be applicable retrospectively from January 1, 2025, and will be disbursed in cash along with April’s salary, informed the Chief Minister’s Office in an official release.
