Bhubaneswar, Sep 25: In a spirited celebration of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva 2025’ campaign, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi participated in a mass cleanliness drive organized by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) here on Thursday, officials said.
The event, held near the revered Lingaraj Temple premises, aimed to inspire citizens to contribute actively to the state’s cleanliness mission.
One Day, One Hour, Together for a Cleaner Odisha
Addressing the gathering, CM Majhi emphasized the
significance of collective action in achieving a cleaner and healthier
environment. He urged citizens to dedicate “one day, one hour, together” to
cleanliness activities, reinforcing the campaign’s core message. The Chief
Minister also took part in a tree plantation drive alongside the cleanliness
initiative, promoting environmental sustainability.

Dignitaries Join Hands for Civic Pride
The event witnessed the presence of several prominent leaders and officials, including Minister of Housing & Urban Development Krushnachandra Mahapatra, Ekamra MLA Babu Singh, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, BMC Commissioner Chanchal Rana, Standing Committee Chairman Biranchi Narayan Mahasupakar, and several BMC corporators and local leaders. Community groups and residents also actively participated, showcasing strong civic engagement.
