Bhubaneswar, Sep 15: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday reaffirmed his government’s commitment to youth empowerment by distributing appointment letters to 1,686 newly selected candidates across seven key departments.
The event, held in Bhubaneswar, marks a significant milestone in the state’s push for employment generation and administrative reform.
In a post on X, CM Majhi credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering belief in India’s youth as the driving force behind Odisha’s employment initiatives. He emphasized that the state government is prioritizing youth engagement across all sectors and creating abundant opportunities for their growth.

✨The newly appointed candidates will join departments including Education, Health, Revenue, and Rural Development, among others. The recruitment drive is part of a broader strategy to strengthen public service delivery and reduce unemployment.
As many as 982 candidates received appointment letters to join the Health & Family Welfare Department, with 982 candidates joining the workforce. Other departments included Water Resources (413), Skill Development & Technical Education (136), Finance (61), Law (37), Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment (34), and Fisheries & Animal Resources (23).
CM Majhi extended his best wishes to the appointees, expressing hope for their bright futures and encouraging them to contribute meaningfully to Odisha’s development.
