Bhubaneswar, May 3: AIIMS Bhubaneswar is gearing up for significant expansion, as its Executive Director, Dr. Ashutosh Biswas, and AIIMS Bhubaneswar President, Dr. Shailesh Kumar, called on Odisha Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, at Lok Seva Bhawan here yesterday.

During the meeting, Dr. Biswas discussed key developmental aspects, including the allocation of additional land to meet growing healthcare demands and the integration of AIIMS Bhubaneswar under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) to enhance urban services and civic support.

Emphasizing the institute’s commitment to excellence in healthcare, medical education, and research, Dr. Biswas highlighted AIIMS Bhubaneswar’s ongoing efforts to strengthen patient care and foster innovation.

Chief Minister Majhi appreciated the institute’s contribution to Odisha’s healthcare landscape and assured all necessary state support for its holistic growth. He acknowledged AIIMS Bhubaneswar’s pivotal role in medical education and its impact on healthcare delivery in the region.

Following his discussion with the Chief Minister, Dr. Biswas also met Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and Health Secretary Aswathy S to explore further developmental measures for AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
