Jajpur, May 13: Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja visited Jajpur district and conducted an extensive review of ongoing projects in Nagada village under Sukinda block.

Accompanied by Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Secretary Girish SN, District Magistrate P. Anvesha Reddy, and other officials, Ahuja interacted with the locals and progress in welfare schemes.

During the visit, he inspected projects under PM Awas Yojana, sanitation initiatives, drinking water supply, women and child development programs, and healthcare facilities. At the Nagada Anganwadi Center, he reviewed grassroots implementation and directed officials to expedite pending projects.

Expressing concern over incomplete PM Awas houses (only 60% completed), he instructed officials to ensure timely completion.

Ahuja also addressed health issues, including maternal care and vaccination gaps, urging swift corrective measures. Additionally, he examined drinking water quality and fluoride levels, stressing improvements.

Visiting local farms and conservation efforts, he appreciated women's self-sufficiency through goat and poultry farming under the Subhadra scheme. He directed revenue officials to facilitate land ownership rights under the Forest Rights Act and urged immediate actions on education improvement.

At Kaliapani Primary Health Center, Ahuja discussed enhancements with senior health officials, focusing on service quality. In Deogaon, he ordered the revival of an unused 200-bed tribal hostel and further improvements across various infrastructure projects.
The visit concluded with directives for accelerated implementation of welfare and development schemes to uplift the region.
