Bhubaneswar, May 13: In a significant move toward streamlining governance, Odisha's Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja held a crucial meeting with secretaries from various departments. Several key issues were addressed during the meeting, focusing on improving efficiency and public service delivery.

Among the major topics discussed was the urgent recruitment of vacant positions across departments, ensuring that administrative gaps do not hinder public services.

Another critical point was the delay in pension approvals after retirement, with the Chief Secretary directing officials to eliminate unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles and ensure swift disbursal of pensions.

Additionally, emphasis was placed on effective implementation of new government schemes at the ground level, ensuring benefits reach every citizen without delay. Officials were instructed to track the progress of these initiatives and identify challenges.
