  • Odisha Cabinet meeting chaired by CM Mohan Charan Majhi to discuss nine key agendas.
  • Jagannath Temple Committee to review Ratna Bhandar ornaments, darshan arrangements, and project progress.
  • Major temple projects including Gundicha Temple development and servitor housing to be discussed.

Bhubaneswar, Nov 19: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will chair an important state cabinet meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan, November 21. All ministers and departmental heads are expected to attend.

The cabinet will deliberate on nine key agendas, including proposals related to education, healthcare, transport, and drinking water. Sources indicate that new schemes may also be introduced, with departments already preparing detailed presentations. The meeting is expected to shape several welfare and infrastructure initiatives for the state.

On the same day, the Jagannath Temple Management Committee will convene its second major meeting under the chairmanship of Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deba.

Other issues on the agenda include streamlining darshan arrangements at the Natamandapa, where members recently inspected wooden ramps for devotees. Security measures for the temple will also be reviewed.

The committee is likely to examine reports from cultural and technical subcommittees and assess the progress of several projects linked to the temple. These include the development of Gundicha Temple, construction of the Jagannath Adarsha Gurukul, establishment of the Raghunandan Library, housing facilities for temple servitors, an Anna Kshetra outside the 75-meter zone, and the Jagannath Ballav Pilgrim Centre. Ritual-related projects such as Homayajna and Namayajna will also be discussed.

Additionally, the committee will address land-related issues concerning the temple, ensuring that heritage and administrative matters are handled with due diligence.

Both meetings — the state cabinet in Bhubaneswar and the temple committee in Puri — are expected to have far-reaching implications for governance and cultural preservation in Odisha.
